Invention of E-Commerce



In this poster I will talk a little about the history of E-commerce, introduce what is (World Wide Web) www means, and finally mention its advantages and disadvantages.

Who invented E-commerce?
E-commerce or or electronic commerce, is the buying and selling of products or services via the internet. Despite having a great adherence in the year 2019 during the pandemic, this form of business has existed for more than 30 years. The creation of this kind of business began in 1979 when the British Michael Aldrich had the idea of ​​connecting the TV to telephone lines, the idea was to display the products on TV giving viewers the opportunity to order using the telephone lines. This idea has been improved over the years, and nowadays it is considered one of the most profitable businesses, dominated by companies such as Ebay,  Amazon, Asos, Alibaba, Wish, among others (Iwdagency.com, 2022).

Who inverted WWW?
Despite being different concepts, E-commerce is directly linked to the WWW, since many companies such as Ebay, Amazon or even Google depend on this platform for publishing information.

The World Wide Web or WWW as it is commonly known, is the first web site created on August 6, 1991 by Tim Berners-Lee. The platform became so important as TV and Radio allowing the transmission and publication of information, The main idea behind the web was that anyone could have access to information and share knowledge through the HTML, URL and HTTP (www.javatpoint.com, 2022).
